Kunming, China Running Route: Green Lake Loop

Green Lake (Cuihu) in Kunming is a gorgeous park in the center of the city. One loop around the perimeter of the park is about 1.15 miles. Running on broad sidewalks or along the edge of the road, there are no street crossings, so this is a nice place for interval laps, with maybe a little speed work tossed in. The area gets busy in the evenings, but it is never too congested and there is a healthy community of fellow runners for camaraderie. The park has a nice adult playground, as well, for a post-run strength workout or stretching session.
The GPS data overlay on the map is off a bit. The red loops were actually around Cuihu park perimeter.
